Once your devices are delivered, find the On-Board-Diagnostic (OBD) port in your vehicle, usually under the dashboard on the driver’s side, and insert the device firmly into the port. In some cars, it might be in the center console or under a plastic cover. The image below identifies the 9 most common locations of a vehicle's On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) port. Once you locate the port, plug in your device.
Once your device is plugged in, drive 3-4 miles to calibrate it and go into the portal to ensure the vehicle's information, such as VIN, is displayed.
Additionally, if your vehicle has any aftermarket products like wheelchair lifts or are heavy duty trucks please visit the Wheelchair Lifts and Heavy Duty Trucks article for more information.
The most common places for the ODB port are 1, 2, and 3. Please see the Installation Video for more assistance.
