Find the On-Board-Diagnostic (OBD) port in your vehicle, usually under the dashboard on the driver’s side, and insert the device firmly into the port. In some cars, it might be in the center console or under a plastic cover. Use the tool in the driver portal (Settings<Tools<Find OBD Port) to locate your port by entering your vehicle's make, model, and year.
